El debut.Todo el país pendiente del debut de España frente a Suiza.
Se presumía un partido asequible ante una selección claramente inferior a la española.
España formó con: Casillas, Ramos, Puyol, Piqué, Capdevilla, X. Alonso,
Busquets (Torres), Xavi, Iniesta(Pedro), Silva (Navas) y Villa.
La decepción.Gelson Fernandes en el minuto 52 anota el único gol del partido en una jugada cargada de suerte.
Aparecen las primeras dudas. Se cuestiona a los jugadores, la alineación, el esquema, el seleccionador...
El camino sólo había hecho comenzar.
